Cancer Survivor 9-year-old Ryan West and his older brother, Shane, walk the "Survivors Lap" to begin ceremonies at the walk that lasted 18 hours. The boys are grandsons of Parrotheads Pat & Greg Moore.

Our Team Message Board Told the Story of Ryan's Non-Hodkins Lymphoma
Ryan West - Cancer Survivor
Non-Hodkins Lymphoma was an extremely fast growing cancer of the lymph system for Ryan. He was 6 years old when diagnosed Dec. 1, 2003. He underwent intense chemotherapy for more than three months and has been off treatment for more than three years. Today, he's a 9-year-old third-grade honor roll student at Beacon Cove Elementary School in Jupiter. He loves sports and plays football and little league baseball and takes Tae Kwon Do. He's a Cub Scout and his favorite sports team is the Minnesota Vikings. Obviously, his favorite color is PURPLE!
