The Coconut Republic Parrothead Club sponsored its first annual charity golf tournament in June 2005 raised money for Hibiscus Children's Center for abused and neglected children.
The second annual tournament in June 2006 benefitted Keep Indian River Beautiful.
The third annual tournament in June 2007 raised more than $5,000 for the Florida Oceanographic Society.
Golf pros at Gator Trace Golf & Country Club relaxed the typical proper golf dress codes for the day. You know what that means! Throughout the course, you could see tropical shirts, leis, grass skirts, cheeseburger hats, and even a giant "fin" on top of a golf cart!
